I have spent the last eleven years developing my skills as an accounts supervisor in XYZ LTD. I experienced the advantages of teamwork. Later, I became increasingly conscious of the importance of management. During this period, I conducted some practices according to the requirements of the management programs. The result was surprising not only the efficiency was highly enhanced; the quality of the work was also significantly improved. I love managing teams and solving customer problems.

Situation – In 2014, I was mainly engaged in RST Ltd. Since this appointment directly affected all the departments in the company, their successful completion could greatly enhance the organizational and managerial abilities of each department.

Task – My role during this appointment also includes dealing with the new knowledge required by this job, secondly find a way to promote communication and exchange of views between them and implant the concept of marketing in them.

Action – I preceded it from two sides: on one hand, I tried to upgrade my own knowledge structure; on the other hand, I made every endeavor to cultivate and train the talented personnel, recruiting the talents we were in urgent need of and simultaneously training all the already existing workers.

The result – The time I dedicated to learning new processes and upgrading my own knowledge structure paid off in the end. It took me half the time expected to put the new team in place. That allowed me to focus on moving the office. I became of the new team leader and my supervisor chose me to teach the process to everyone else.  My painstaking and conscientious work finally paid off with an elite technical team.

I’m glad you asked. One of your goals is to become the leader in debt recovery, both domestically and internationally that leadership qualities are a bonus for this position. In my 11 years of experience as an accounts supervisor at ABC LTD, I have effectively managed teams of over 10 people. I developed motivational skills that earned the department success and greatly enhance the organizational managerial abilities of each department. With my in-depth understanding of the great importance of management science, I reckon I am an urgent want of overall financial management. I have direct contact with western culture, concepts, and ways of thinking, and widen my breadth of vision. I showed a keen interest in every facet of Management, particularly Strategic Management. I will bring my financial management, creative, motivational leadership ability, and strategic marketing skills to this position.

How ambitious are you and what are you striving for?

I am very ambitious. I always go into a situation aiming to learn all that I can in order to contribute to the organization and with the mindset of growing my role in order to take on a higher position and increased responsibility. The most important reason that I am ambitious is that I would like to contribute significantly to helping the company succeed. A few of my ambition include leading a finance team in some capacity. I’m excited about the prospect of working with teams like legal and procurement on developing streamlined processes—this is a natural fit with my financial and accounting management background. One reason this job stood out to me was that it calls for a candidate with finance and accounting management expertise. I’ve had inspiration in managing a team and would love to continue improving my skills.

Why are you leaving (have left) your job?

I went back to school to pursue a master’s degree program. The desire to learn and gain a new skill as well as growing my current skill.

What are your goals for the future? Where do you see yourself in five years?

Well, I’m really excited by this position at TYZ LCC because, in five years, I’d like to be seen as someone with deep expertise in the finance sector, and I know that’s something that I’ll have an opportunity to do here. I’m also really excited to take on more managerial responsibilities in the next few years and potentially even take the lead on some projects. I’ve been lucky enough to work as an account supervisor, and so developing into a great manager is something I’m really excited about.

What are your salary expectations?

I am open to discussing what you believe to be a fair salary for the position. However, based on my experience, skill, knowledge of the industry, and my understanding of this geographic area, I would expect a salary in the general range of $64,670.00 CAD to $79,670.00 CAD. Again, I am very open to discussing these numbers with you.

Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of?

Before I join XYZ LTD, the company was experiencing a great loss in the receivable section, the shortage was so enormous that it becomes a big issue that made my supervisor’s to transfer me to that section to investigate and look into what the problem is so as to proofer solution. So I design a process using excel formula to input all data and in the end, the process I develop was able to solve the problem and they are still using it to date. I became increasingly conscious of the importance of management.
